During an artist residency at the Footnote Center in Belgrade, I examined the changes in aesthetics and semiotics of former industrial plants in former Yugoslavia. I am using the architecture of the factories, as places of remembrance of deindustrialisation, as an artistic element itself. I am allowing the old to melt into the new and to communicate with one another, and make the polyphony of the places resonate to the surface.
