Together with Dr Claudia Agnes Müller, I am working on an interdisciplinary study (photography and literature) of architecture and phantom memories. The images show the iconic Berlin brutalist buildings Mäusebunker and Bierpinsel – monuments to a future that never arrived.
The photo series is based on the novel ‘Die Passagierin’ (The Passenger) by Franz Friedrich and deals with phantom memories – those enigmatic images of a future that is both present and lost at the same time.
